Possessions Photo Project

Possessions Photo Project The items in this photo tell you about my daily life. The ping pong paddle means that I enjoy playing ping pong, I feel like it's one of the best ways to past the time while doing something moderately physical. Like ping pong, I also enjoy other physical activities like weight lifting and running hence the dumbbells, timer, and shoes. The rest of the items are a drawing tablet, my schoolbag, and a toothbrush and some floss, you can probably guess what I do with those. :)

Images in Motion

Brian's Images in Motion :D drops of water This photo shows water dropping out of a pvc pipe just outside of class. I don't really like this photo, the glare off the water makes it look blurry and I wish I could focus more one the water itself instead of everything else. The last photo I like more, but the lighting could use some work, probably too high of a shutter speed. Cartwheels and summersaults  These next three photos are of Bryden doing various acrobatic movements in various stages of the action. The top photo would just about a mid-action cartwheel, the middle photo, a handstand right before falling down, and the bottom most movement would the beginning of a cartwheel. Moving car Just as the title says, the blue car in the photo is moving, not the most exciting picture but I thought it would fit the bill of photos in motion. These have been my images in motion! :)

Iconic Photographer Photo Project

Dorothea Lange For this project I decided to use Dorothea Lange as my favorite photographer, her images about the unfortunate circumstances about the people of America during the great depression shows the human ability to try to overcome and live, all the while suffering from poverty and isolation. While that itself is incredibly heart wrenching to watch, I think that the background of these photos tells us much more about just how dry and arid both the land and the emotions of some people can be. She brilliantly captures all these aspects and more in the Midwest, however she would later also capture the images of Japanese-American citizens during their internment after pearl harbor, much of work focuses on capturing the suffering and human strife between the 1930s to the 1940s. Here are some pictures with my thoughts on them: These more landscape photo shows us the hot and dry aspects that many people had to travel in the Midwest while also emphasizing the long and arduous journey th

Who's Your Hero

Image
Alexander Graham Bell For this project I have chosen Alexander Graham Bell as my hero because, to be frank, I'm not really sure what else to put for this blog. I think that his achievements in life and the cause or maybe the motivation behind them are an admirable one. Something that will be used and practically integrated into society and the modern world forever is quite the accomplishment, one that should be something worthy of one's respect and admiration. His work on the telephone has made long distance communication an incredibly easy task, one that makes it almost impossible to think that we even managed as a community as well as we did without it. The backstory behind his invention and work in acoustics and science could be attributed to his Family interactions, and his deafening mother. At around 12 years old Alexander was already a very curious child, who had created a simple dehusking machine to be used at the mill near where he lived, however at the same time his mo
