Here is my "Beauty of the Marianas" photos. Most of these photos were taken just outside my house, it's nice to go out and be reminded of what this island has to offer.
Dorothea Lange For this project I decided to use Dorothea Lange as my favorite photographer, her images about the unfortunate circumstances about the people of America during the great depression shows the human ability to try to overcome and live, all the while suffering from poverty and isolation. While that itself is incredibly heart wrenching to watch, I think that the background of these photos tells us much more about just how dry and arid both the land and the emotions of some people can be. Here are some pictures with my thoughts on them: These more landscape photo shows us the hot and dry aspects that many people had to travel in the Midwest while also emphasizing the long and arduous journey th...
Brian's Images in Motion :D drops of water This photo shows water dropping out of a pvc pipe just outside of class. I don't really like this photo, the glare off the water makes it look blurry and I wish I could focus more one the water itself instead of everything else. The last photo I like more, but the lighting could use some work, probably too high of a shutter speed. Cartwheels and summersaults These next three photos are of Bryden doing various acrobatic movements in various stages of the action. The top photo would just about a mid-action cartwheel, the middle photo, a handstand right before falling down, and the bottom most movement would the beginning of a cartwheel. Moving car Just as the title says, the blue car in the photo is moving, not the most exciting picture but I thought it would fit the bill of photos in motion. These have been my images in motion! :)
